I shifted to Bangalore when I received an opportunity to work with an I esteemed IT company. Life with a new job and away from home was different and difficult. I started having food from outside frequently and even missed out on meals more often. I started suffering from severe stomach cramps, bloating and diarrhoea more often. For some time I tried to cope with my issues and manage my pain in whatever way possible. On visiting a doctor he prescribed some medications for acid reflux. However, it escalated my condition. It was on one occasion when I experienced severe stomach pain and had to leave early from office, that I decided to take things into my hand. I started looking into my symptoms and realized that they all matched with the ones for Irritable Bowel Syndrom (IBS). However, it was necessary to confirm with an experienced medical professional.

I started looking out for some home-based testing and consultation facilities to save time. That's when I came across MyDiagnostics and their Microbiome Analysis (Super Gut) package. On contacting the team, they explained in detail about this package and the pre-test requirements that I need to conform to. I booked the test at my convenient time and the samples were collected. I received a detailed report in a month which suggested that I was indeed suffering from IBS. I was provided with a free consultation with a specialist in gastrointestinal issues. She explained that one of the major reasons for my frequent stomach issues were bad dietary practices which were altering my gut microflora. She provided some suggestions on how I could improve my gut health through proper diet and the use of some probiotics and prebiotics.

My gut health has improved immensely after I started following the diet prescribed. Also, the prebiotic intake helped me greatly. Now, I have realized the importance of managing my gut health for maintaining a healthier and more productive lifestyle.
